Vail Resorts Closes on Its Acquisition of Falls Creek and Hotham Ski Fields in Victoria, Australia
Vail Resorts, Inc. (NYSE: MTN) today announced that the Company has closed on its acquisition of the ski field leases and related infrastructure at Falls Creek Alpine Resort (“Falls Creek”) and Hotham Alpine Resort (“Hotham”) in Victoria, Australia.

Vail Resorts to Acquire Falls Creek and Hotham Ski Resorts in Victoria, Australia
Vail Resorts announced today that it has entered into an agreement to purchase the ski fields at Falls Creek Alpine Resort and Hotham Alpine Resort in Victoria, Australia. The acquisition, which is subject to certain regulatory approvals, is expected to close prior to the commencement of the Australian snow season in June 2019.

Rusutsu, Japan Joins the Epic Australia Pass for the 2019-20 Winter Season
Vail Resorts today announced a long-term alliance with one of the most renowned resorts in the world for deep powder and tree skiing, Rusutsu Resort, located in Hokkaido, Japan, just 90 minutes from Sapporo and New Chitose Airport. Beginning with the 2019-20 season, the Epic Australia Pass, Epic Pass and Epic Local Pass will offer five consecutive complimentary days with no blackout dates at the three unique, interlinked mountains that make up Rusutsu Resort.

Hakuba Valley, Japan Is Now Epic
Vail Resorts, Inc. (NYSE: MTN) today announced a long-term alliance with one of Japan’s largest and most renowned mountain resort regions —Hakuba Valley, located in the northern part of the Nagano Prefecture at the base of Japan’s Northern Alps and host to the 1998 Olympic Winter Games. Beginning with the 2018-19 season, the Epic Pass, Epic Local Pass and Epic Australia Pass will offer five consecutive complimentary days with no blackout dates at the nine ski resorts that comprise Hakuba Valley. It brings the Epic Pass total to 55 mountain resorts in eight countries, significantly more than any other season pass in the world.

In celebration of the 10th anniversary of the Epic Pass, 2018, Vail Resorts is honoring the epic service of the Company’s founders and men and women of the U.S. Armed Forces, Canadian Armed Forces and Australian Defence Force, with the introduction of a special new USD$99 Military Epic Pass. Also, for every 2018-19 Vail Resorts season pass sold, the Company will donate USD$1 to Wounded Warrior Project®. Based on 2017-18 pass sales, the donation would exceed USD$750,000.

As Much as Six Feet of New Snow Delivered to Top Ski Resorts throughout Western North America
Within a week of opening for the ski season, resorts throughout western North America received a massive dose of winter weather – including the arrival of as much as six feet of snow accumulation and cold temperatures which dipped to the single digits. National weather forecasts call for additional snowfall and continued cold temperatures throughout the first week of December.
